This year we are introducing ‘Class Showcases’ where, each term, parents will be invited into school on a planned date to share some of your child’s learning in school.

Reception class led a wonderful worship on Christmas.
Year 5/6 – November 2025
Well done to Year 5/6 who delivered a whole school worship on ‘World Children’s Day’ followed by sharing their learning about the Amazon Rainforest with their families in their Class Showcase.
Year 3/4 – November 2025
Sycamore Class led a thoughtful worship based on friendship. Following the assembly, the children enjoyed sharing their Science work~ a fun demonstration of the digestive system!
Year 1/2 – November 2025
Elm Class really enjoyed leading the whole school Remembrance Day worship and we are so proud of them! Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who came to watch as the children shared their learning.
Reception – Wednesday 19th October 2022
Our showcase involved sharing lots of work so far on our topic who am I? This half term the children have learnt about our bodies, shared facts they know and painted self-portraits. We have found out all about our families, sharing photographs, creating family trees and drawing family portraits. The children have read, ‘The Rainbow Fish’ by Marcus Pfister as our author study for this half term, they discussed the different feelings and sequenced the story. During our showcase the children performed a poem we learnt for world poetry day called ‘a pointy hat’ they recited this confidently using their own actions.
Year 5/6 – Friday 7th October 2022
Year 5/6’s ‘Showcase’ involved sharing our work so far on “inventors and inventions”. So, half this half term we have learnt all about forces in science, researched the “House of Wisdom” in History and created tessellating digital art inspired by Islamic Art patterns. Within English, we read “Clockwork” by Phillip Pullman and wrote our own suspense stores inspired by this. During the showcase, pupils enjoined sharing their books with their families, as well as reciting a short poem and investigating the force of air resistance by designing their own parachutes.
